Welcome!

Welcome! to the official breeding registry of the Association of European Buckfast Beekeepers (GdeB). Even as a guest, you can explore large parts of the breeding database and get a good impression of the breeding work of the Buckfast propagators and breeders. Membership in the GdeB or any of its affiliated Buckfast/state associations is not required to use these basic functions. Nevertheless, you are warmly invited to become a member of one of the Buckfast/state associations and support the work of Buckfast breeding.

We would like to invite you to register as a "member" in the breeding registry. You can access the "Application for Breeder Prefix" here. Once we have received your application, we will review it and create a breeder prefix for you, along with your login information and password. After you have logged in, additional functions of the breeding registry will be available to you, and you can document your own breeding work yourself. For beginners, we regularly offer "training courses" – please check the News section to see when the next training is scheduled.

To make it easier for inexperienced database users to get started with the breeding registry and handling the pedigree, we have set up a >>testing platform<<, the >>sandbox<<. Here you can experiment and test without any risk and as you please. All "practice datasets" created in the sandbox are overwritten at night by the current data from the production system. This way, a new, "clean," up-to-date practice environment is available every morning. One more note – of course, this also applies to your access. Access itself is only available in the sandbox one day later, and password changes also take one day to appear in the sandbox. Nevertheless, have fun practicing and experimenting.
